The Methow Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring people to care for and conserve the land of the Methow Valley.

Our conservation tools include:

  • Conservation easements: we have protected 7,352 acres and 26.2 miles of critical riparian shoreline habitat along the Methow River and its tributaries. Our easements help families keep their farms and ranches and protect the open space and scenic views that regularly draw tens of thousands of visitors to the Methow Valley in Washington State.

  • Stewardship: we annually monitor all of our easement lands and work with landowners to care for the long-term health of their land.

  • Education: we host a monthly natural history lecture series and provide field trip opportunities to raise awareness about conservation issues; we publish numerous informative brochures, and provide a natural resource library at our office.
